Christmas Edit: Last Minute Christmas To-Do List

With less than a week to go until the big day, there is still plenty of time to tick everything off your to-do list before the beginning of the Christmas period. Don’t forget that here at Eldimaa Fashion you can still pick up some last minute Christmas presents, or pick up some gifts to see you and your loved ones into the New Year.
In this week’s blog, we are looking at the Christmas Checklist, to help you organise your week leading up to Christmas and to make sure you manage to tick off all those pending items before Christmas.

Presents

It’s full steam ahead when it comes to Christmas presents. With less than a week to go until the big day there is a lot to do to make sure you are ready when Christmas morning comes. Whether it's picking up those last few presents for friends and family or getting down to the nitty gritty of wrapping, there is no time like the present. Struggling to think of the perfect gift to get someone, or need a little additional something to make your Christmas buying complete? Why not opt for a personal touch by making a Christmas present, be it your own fudge or biscuits, a candle or soap - that added personal touch to a gift can really show someone you care. Similarly, why not add a bit of extravagance to your gift wrap, use a gorgeous headwrap or scarf to wrap your presents up in (two presents in one) or add some extra flits with ribbons, bows and sequins.

Get ready for hosting

If you are hosting anyone over the Christmas period, it's important to ensure you are well prepared. Make a list of everything that you need to do before they arrive and don't be afraid to ask them to help out to, whether it's bringing their own towels and bedding, or bringing a dish for the special day. Don't forget to make sure you have the essentials nailed down before they arrive, including dietary requirements (especially if they have any allergies), sleeping arrangements and of course the ever important seating. We all have relatives that don't get along, so why not save yourself the stress and seat them as far away as possible with some homemade place cards.

Christmas Food

Food is a HUGE part of Christmas and one of the things people look forward to the most (not to mention that post-Christmas dinner nap). Why not get ahead of the curve by making a list of everything you'll need for the big day and dividing it up amongst family and friends (the best way to avoid any duplicates). Shop savvily by getting on top of deals and savings, with the abundance of 4 for 3 offers and stock up your fridge and cupboards for a fraction of the price. Why not save yourself the stress on Christmas Day by making yourself a list of cooking times and getting as much prep as possible out of the way in the days leading up to Christmas.

Enjoying the festive period

Christmas is such a busy time and we can spend so much of that time getting ready for the big day that when it comes it is over and done with in a flash, and you’ve not had the chance to really enjoy it. So make sure you have a wonderful Christmas, spending time with your loved ones and enjoying some family time with your children. Decorate the house, watch your favourite Christmas films, get crafty, play your favourite games and just have a special Christmas.
